  • INTRACARDIAL ELECTROPHYSIOLOGICAL STUDY: Tests that determine arrhythmias (heart rhythm), this study is useful for patients with symptoms such as palpitations, dizziness, tachyarrhythmias and syncope (fainting).

  • CARDIAC ABLATION: Treatment for cardiac arrhythmias. It is an invasive treatment using a catheter to eliminate or interrupt faulty electrical changes in the heart. There are different types of ablation, which is determined depending on the needs of each patient and previous studies.

  • REPAIR OF AORTIC ANEURYSM: An aneurysm is an abnormal widening of a part of an artery due to weakness of the vessel wall. If an aneurysm grows, it can rupture and cause dangerous bleeding, even leading to the death of the patient if not treated immediately. It is a surgery to repair the dilated part of the affected artery, and is carried out in an operating room under general anesthesia.

  • CORONARY BYPASS: This is one of the most common heart surgeries, and consists of taking a healthy blood vessel, usually from the arm, chest or leg area, and then placing it in the obstructed arteries in the heart.

There are 3 types of bypass:

-Bypass with extracorporeal circulation

-Bypass without extracorporeal circulation

-Minimally invasive bypass

This type of surgery requires a stay of less than 2 days in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) as there are no

complications, after which the patient is transferred to a general ward and then to outpatient cardiac rehabilitation.

  • VALVE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT: Replacement of mechanical valves and biological valves

- Commissurotomy

- Patch placement

- Repair of structural support

- Valvuloplasty

- Plastic repair

  • CARDIAC HEMODYNAMICS: Cardiac catheterization and primary angioplasty
